Luxembourg Medals

This is a [very] incomplete list of commemorative medals relating to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg:

1815. Guillaume I, the first Grand Duke of Luxembourg. The historical territory of Luxembourg was elevated to a Grand Duchy by the Congress of Vienna in 1815 and given as a personal possession to Guillaume (Willem in Dutch; Wilhelm in German; William in English), who was also installed as King of The Netherlands.
1891. Grand Duke Adolphe and Grand Duchess Adelheid. This medal was issued to honor the new Grand Duke's Joyous Entry into Luxembourg following his accession in late 1890. He was the first Grand Duke in the Nassau-Weilburg dynasty which still rules Luxembourg today. The inscription on the back of the medal reads:
Erinnerung an den Feierlichen Einzug in Luxemburg J.J.K.K.H.H. des Grossherzog und der Grossherzogin am 23 ten Juli 1891
[On the occasion of the Joyous Entry into Luxembourg of Their Royal Highnesses the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess on July 23, 1891]
1944. American GI in profile. This medal was issued to honor the American servicemen who liberated Luxembourg City from Nazi Germany on September 10, 1944.
1953. Crown Prince Jean and Princess Joséphine-Charlotte. This medal was issued for the marriage of Jean and Joséphine-Charlotte (of Belgium) on April 9, 1953. Jean was later to rule as Grand Duke from 1964 to 2000.
