Charlotte was Grand Duchess from January 15, 1919 until she abdicated in favor of her son Jean on November 12, 1964. She was born on January 23, 1896 in Colmar-Berg and died on July 9, 1985 at the age of 89.

These imperforate stamps were sold exclusively at the Luxembourg Philatelic Exposition, held on August 27-31, 1922. This event was organized by the Union des Timbrophiles de Luxembourg (UTL).

Vianden Castle, overlooking the Our Valley, is one of the most majestic castles in Luxembourg. Now almost completely restored, it is a popular tourist attraction that thousands of people visit each year.

Esch-sur-Alzette is the center of the iron and steel industry of Luxembourg. It is the second largest town in the country. Note that the 2F red brown variety is from a souvenir sheet issued in 1937.
The Adolphe Bridge, opened on July 24, 1903, is 45 m above the Pétrusse River below and spans 210 m from old Luxembourg to the newer railroad district. It was designed by the famous French architect Paul Séjourné and is based on a symmetric pattern of semi-circular arches.
The surtax was used to establish a fund for the erection of the "Gëlle Fra" ("Golden Woman") monument to the memory of the Luxembourg volunteers who died in battle in World War I, 1914-18.
These stamps depict the Benedictine Abbey in Clervaux (10c + 5), Vauban tower in Pfaffenthal (15c + 10), and Luxembourg City (25c + 10).

The single stamp on this souvenir sheet shows a view of Luxembourg City as seen from the park in front of Fort Thüngen. The souvenir sheet was issued to celebrate the birth of Princess Elisabeth on December 22, 1922, the eldest daughter of Grand Duchess Charlotte and Prince Félix. It was the first souvenir sheet ever issued in the world.
This stamp shows a view of Luxembourg City as seen from the park in front of Fort Thüngen.
These stamps are the same as those issued on August 2, 1921 but are overprinted "27 mai 1923", the day of unveiling of the "Gëlle Fra" monument, and have an additional surtax.

This stamp shows a view of Echternach from the Wolf's Gorge (Wolfsschlucht) located in the hills of "Little Switzerland" above the town.
The surtax was in favor of the Red Cross.

The 5-year-old Prince Jean, later Grand Duke Jean, is the subject of this Caritas set. These were the first stamps of Luxembourg to be printed in two colors. Prince Jean was born in Colmar-Berg on January 5, 1921.
This set commemorates the 75th anniversary of the introduction of postage stamps in Luxembourg and also an international philatelic exhibition held on September 4-8, 1927. The stamps bear portraits of Grand Duchess Charlotte and Prince Félix and were sold with a surtax of 3F to benefit the exhibition.

Princess Elisabeth, the eldest daughter of Grand Duchess Charlotte and Prince Félix, was born in Colmar-Berg on December 22, 1922.
The aerial view of Clervaux on this stamp shows the ancient castle (dating from the 11th century) and, in the hills, the Benedictine Abbey of St. Maurice which was completed in 1910.
Princess Marie-Adélaïde was born in Colmar-Berg on May 21, 1924.
